Pacific Classic Stakes at Del Mar 2024

The Pacific Classic Stakes is a Grade 1 race and perhaps the most prestigious race that takes place each season at the Del Mar Racetrack.

It has been running since 1991 and is open to horses that are at least three years old. There are varying handicaps depending on the weight of the horses, with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million being in place for this race. It takes place in August and is one of the most lucrative races for older horses each season in the United States.

The winner of the Pacific Classic Stakes will also get entry to the Breeders’ Cup Challenge. Experienced jockeys are always a big advantage in this race with most of the horses already having big race experience.
