How to bet on the Queen Charlotte Fillies’ Stakes 2021

Queen Charlotte Fillies’ Stakes 2021
Date:
Sat 10th April 2021
Location:
Chelmsford Racecourse

In keeping with their preferred theme, Chelmsford City stages their Listed contest the Queen Charlotte Fillies’ Stakes during an otherwise quiet midweek meeting in July.

The race clashes with Royal Ascot and so it is not expected that the very best fillies and mares will be able to attend, however, at a massive £75,000, the race is seen as being extremely valuable for a Listed contest and has so far been pretty well supported.

In fact, 2019 winner Billesdon Brook was a former 1,000 Guineas winner and used her victory in this seven-furlong contest to get her career back on track, going on, in fact, to land the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and then beating star mare Laurens and top-level winner Veracious in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes.

The race was only placed on the schedule in 2018 on a quality card also featuring three Class 2 handicaps worth £40,000 each, run over 5 furlongs, 1¼ miles and 1¾ miles respectively.
