Description
Leokan slot is an August 2019 release from developer Swintt. Played across a standard 5×3 layout, it features 10 Paylines, all of which pay in both directions (i.e. from left to right as well as vice versa).
This video slot has a jungle setting, and you’ll need all the help you can get from the game’s hero, also called Leokan, to fight off some pretty lethal predators, from crocs to piranhas.
How to play
The betting range is broad here, from 5 to 200. And, as usual, you can set Autoplay to turn the reels without interruption for up to 500 spins, while the highest winning combo per Payline pays out. The usual Play and Quickstop buttons are also present and correct.
Of the regular symbols, Leokan himself is your biggest payer, and the king of the jungle here, especially if you manage to get a full table of this icon.
And, like the lion mentioned below, our hero is green-eyed with a flowing mane, his face framed by greenery. It’s also worth noting that Leokan pays out in both directions.
In descending order of value, you also have a crocodile, green jungle bird, evil-looking blue piranha fish and a jungle fruit. The A through J playing cards are also here, as usual paying out much less.
Leokan Slot Special Features
Special Symbols
The Scatter is a green-eyed lion, his face framed by jungle fronds. You’ll need him to launch the free spins. Meanwhile, your Wild is another leonine image, this time viewed from the side.
It does its usual thing of replacing all other symbols bar the Scatter, which acts independently from the Paylines.
Bonus Features
Free Spins
Swintt calls this round ‘feature game’ and it works as follows:
- Five Scatters trigger 100 freebies
- Four Scatters trigger 25 freebies
- Three Scatters trigger 10 freebies
Risk Game
Following a round win, you have the chance to gamble your most recent win – just click on the Risk button. (Alternatively, simply collect your winnings.)
Card Risk Game
In another gamble option, you can bet your winnings from your most recent go in a card risk game. Correctly predict the colour of the next card to be dealt – red or black.
Here, RTP is 100% and it’s a double-or-nothing affair, so a lot will depend on your attitude to risk.
Jackpot
This game does not feature a progressive jackpot. Instead, the maximum win is 100x stake.
Return to Player
You will find variance falls somewhere in the middle of the range in this game, while RTP or Return to Player is 95.3%, or slightly higher than it is for some Swintt games, but still a shade below the industry average.
Verdict
This is a fairly typical fare from this provider, with some nice design, an exciting theme and an emphasis on colour, simplicity and fun.
It’s a great choice if you just want to turn the reels in an uncomplicated way – probably less so if you settle for nothing less than all-singing, all-dancing, feature-packed action.
