The West Virginia Breeders’ Classic is a thoroughbred race that has been running since 1987. Over nine furlongs, it is held at Charles Town Racecourse. It is open to horses that are at least three years old and there is a purse of $500,000 to be battled for. It is run on the same day for a number of other West Virginia Breeders’ races for horses in the state.
