The Glorious Stakes is a Group 3 flat race that allows horses that are at least four years old to enter. It is part of the Glorious Goodwood Festival of racing at the end of July or start of August.
This race was initially run in 1979 and it has a handicap system in place. The prize pool is £100,000, with the winner getting almost £56,000. It has been a Group 3 race since 2008. One horse has managed to win it on two occasions, being Capstan in 1981 and 1982.
