The Midlands Grand National is a Listed National Hunt race. It has been taking place since 1969 Uttoxeter Racecourse. It is part of the March fixtures and is run over a long four miles and two furlongs. In total, a couple of dozen fences will have to be overcome. It is a handicap race that can be entered by horses that are at least five years old.
It is a handicap race that has a prize pool of £150,000, with the first prize being £84,000. To date, there has been no horse that has won this race on two occasions. Stamina is very important with such a long distance and so many fences needing to be jumped.
