Description
From Stakelogic, Book of Cleopatra Super Stake plays over a standard 5×3 format with just 10 Paylines. It was released in the summer of 2020 as an upgraded follow-up to 2018’s original game.
The action takes place in a tomb in Ancient Egypt, the walls decorated with hieroglyphs and paintings, as you set off to discover Cleo’s coins, not to mention other treasures along the way.
Expect a dramatic, tension-building soundtrack, along with vastly enhanced graphics in this new, improved version of Book of Cleo, along with an overall somewhat darker feel.
This game is all about the Super Stake option, giving you the choice to double your stake in return for the chance to land bigger wins.
How to play
The betting range here is a default 0.1 to 100. You’ll need at least three lower-paying symbols for a win, or two for the premium icons, while, unsurprisingly, the best prizes are for five-in-a-row hits.
The lower values are the usual playing cards A through 10, here given Ancient Egyptian decoration to suit the theme. Among the premiums are, in ascending order of worth, the snake or scarab, cat and Cleo herself, for whom the prize is 500x stake for five in a row.

Super Stake Mode
Enable this to double your bet in the hope of triggering the bonus, which crops up roughly every 50 spins. This plays on a different reel set and features symbols bearing cash values.
Kick off with three respins. Each time you land a fresh icon, it’s held in place as the respins tally resets to three. The round ends when respins expire, or the whole grid fills with cash icons.
Free Spins
As ever, you’ll need three Scatter/Wilds to gain entry to this perk. You get a Scatter reward involving two, 20 and 200x stake for three, four and five Scatters respectively. RTP or Return to Player in Book of Cleopatra Super Stake is a maximum of 96.7%, or perhaps a shade above the norm. At the same time, you should buckle up for a highly volatile game. So don’t expect wins every second you’re playing.
Verdict
Both Ancient Egyptian and ‘Book of’ slots have, of course, been heavily done before. Indeed, it seems that just about every developer has at least one in their portfolio. But these slots remain popular.
And the Super Stake element definitely adds a fresh layer of interest and excitement, while the graphics have been significantly improved for this latest version of the game.
