Ghost in the Shell
With five reels, three rows and nine active Paylines, stylish Ghost in the Shell is based on the world-famous 1996 anime movie of the same name. (There have also been novels, TV shows and video games in the franchise.) This version from 888 Games combines all the incredible characters and visuals from the hit film with some classic slot action.
The storyline is based on the story by Japanese manga artist Masonari Ota, and 888 Games has given it the full comic-theme treatment. Plus, as usual with 888 offerings, there’s a progressive jackpot.
How to play
If you’re a manga fan, you’ll recognise the layout and atmosphere of Ghost in the Shell Slot straight away, since 888 Games has faithfully recreated all the original imagery.
Coin sizes range from £1 to £250, and there’s a varied range of symbols here. The five highest-paying are characters from the manga game, the lower-value symbols are the playing card icons – Aces, Queens, Jacks, Kings and 10.

You’ll then need to make a choice between two symbols. Make the right choice for the mini-game to continue, and to multiply your stake between three and 40 times. Make the wrong choice, however, and the feature comes to an end automatically as you are returned to the base game.

Popular and thrillingly action-packed, the soundtrack on Ghost in the Shell Slot has admittedly been described as annoying, but it’s fun to play while honouring a particular culture that many find fascinating.
