Played with 20 Paylines and five reels across three rows, Incinerator Slot from Scandi operator Yggdrasil Gaming takes the slightly unusual theme of space debris which needs disposing of. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to turn it into treasure.
The music and sound effects suit the theme of this January 2016 release, while all the symbols are also related to the topic, and the game is played within a kind of spaceship. The whole thing has a dark, brooding atmosphere.
The game uses a cascading reels format, in which up to a further half-dozen Wilds get added to the reels once you have a hat-trick of winning cascades.
How to play
Place your bets before blast-off. Get the game going with the Spin function and set Autoplay if you wish to turn the reels without interruption for a set number of times. Play from a mere 20p a go up to a relatively modest £40 maximum. Paylines fork out from left to right in Incinerator.
You won’t see any conventional reel spinning. Instead, the various space debris icons tumble down onto the reels. They are shapes of metal ‘rubbish’ best differentiated by their colours, and they’re in red, yellow, blue, orange, purple and green.
Line up three symbols or more, and cause a power surge! An explosion leaves holes which are filled as described below.
Incinerator Slot special features
There is no free spins round in Incinerator. Instead, you get the following:
A glowing light inside a square serves as the Wild, as ever replacing all icons to help form winning combinations.
This perk is also sometimes also known as an exploding or rolling reels feature. It means that every time you bag a winning combo somewhere on the reels, those symbols vanish to be replaced by others which cascade down from above.
The process carries on as long as there are fresh wins.
The box for this is to the left of your screen. This slot has a series of 10 preset patterns of symbols. Land three consecutive wins under the cascading reels arrangement and Wilds will arrive on the screen to form the pattern that’s active for that spin, which should always lead to a nice little earner.
Land a hat-trick of further wins and you will enjoy one of half a dozen better Wild combos.
Unfortunately, you won’t find a progressive jackpot here, but the maximum win is described by the operator as being €60,000, with a single biggest haul of 6,000 coins.
Return to Player (RTP)
RTP or Return to Player in Incinerator is a decent 96.1%. Equally, bear in mind that Incinerator, unusually for Yggdrasil, is a low-to-medium variance offering. Hit frequency is just over 23% or nearly one in four.
Outer space is hardly the most original slot theme on earth, or indeed any other planet. And you may miss the free spins round here. But by focusing on space debris, this game manages to give the topic a fresh slant, albeit not the most glamorous one. Incinerator Slot is certainly a compelling offering.
Expect a fast pace and gameplay, and be sure you can take it! Try it out to see if it’s a game that works for you – and let us know what you thought.
