With four rows, five reels and 25 Paylines, Nitro Circus Slot by Yggdrasil Gaming was launched in 2018 as the Swedish operator’s first branded slot.
It’s based on the all-American reality TV show of the same name, which aired on MTV from 2012 to 2014 and is all about death-defying stunts, especially on dirt bikes. It’s led by Travis Pastrana, who roams the world with his biking buddies performing tricks.
So it’s no surprise this adrenaline-fuelled video slot is set in the very area where these daredevil events happen. Expect jaw-dropping stunts and crazy vehicles!

Nitro free spins round
Activate this perk on landing at least three Nitro Bombs during the base game. You’ll also trigger the minigame and up to three feature picks, as described above:

- Land five bombs to get 30 symbols and three feature picks
Nitro Jump feature
You’ll need five of the same vehicles or N I T R O letters to activate this. Each one – armchair, bathtub, toy car and rocking horse – has its own series of benefits and features.
Trigger it by landing the NITRO letters and you get to choose from three different bikes.
This feature consists of three stunt jumps plus a final boost jump. Judges score the hat-trick of stunt jumps and grant between five and 625 coins according to the quality of the tricks.
You also get to pick as many as six of these bonuses during the perk:
- Prize of 25 coins
- Turbo boost for the last jump
- Multiplier for the final jump
- 10 free whirls
The final Nitro Boost leap follows the initial three stunts. As you lead up to it, there’s the choice to add a manual speed boost for an enhanced multiplier on landing. But this will also boost your chances of crashing out and kissing goodbye to all multipliers.

There’s no progressive jackpot, but the top prize here is 50,000 coins. Expect volatility to be just on the lower side of medium.

Verdict
You’ll love this game in particular if you enjoy the TV show, and it’s just as zany and action-packed. The slot has a unique feel, and it’s more ambitiously done than most.
It’s certainly not the simplest to play, so it may take a few goes (and some patience) to grips with it, and it may not be ideal for the beginner or those who like straightforward, no-nonsense reel turning. Indeed, one reviewer described it as ‘all over the place’.
