Set in a medieval town against a mountainous backdrop and studded with turrets, Rogue Treasure Slot from ReelPlay and NextGen Gaming has up to 25 Paylines and plays on a conventional 5×3 structure.
The storyline in this December 2017 release follows a Rogue character who, audaciously, is after both the heart of the city’s Duchess and the treasure of its Duke. Step back in time and enjoy this Middle Ages adventure!
How to play
Play from just 0.25 credits on your device of choice. (This game works very well on mobile, with no compromise in terms of functionality or quality of graphics).
Symbols on the reels include overflowing money bags, locks, shiny daggers, treasure chests, a stern-looking medieval guard plus the Duke and Duchess. These join the usual playing card symbols, 9 through A, which are given a medieval design. The character icons are your more lucrative symbols.
Score wins in the standard fashion by matching up three of the same symbols. And in Rogue Treasure Slot you also get to choose how many Paylines to activate, up to the maximum of 25.
The keyhole is your Scatter, while the Wild is the appealingly cheeky Rogue figure in a blue cloak with gold trim. As ever, the latter replaces other icons (bar the Scatters; equally, he doesn’t substitute for the guard) to assist with winning combos. He also pays out an incredible 40x bet for five in a row.
In standard fashion, you’ll need at least a trio of keyhole Scatters to unlock this round. And the good news here is that the freebies are potentially limitless.
Equally, while you’re playing, every keyhole which rocks up opens to uncover a cash prize that’s in proportion with your overall wager. However, it’s all over when three of the guard icons appear anywhere at all on the reels, putting an end to your cash bonanza.
This one pops up at random while you are playing the main game. It’s a brief animation in which the rogue picks a lock to activate a respin and turn Reel 2 fully Wild. Keep retriggering, with further reels converted to become Wild. This round is where the best winnings are to be made.
While there’s no progressive jackpot here, wins of up to 1,380x stake on every main-game spin are possible, a figure which climbs to 9,400x for the free spins feature.
Return to Player
Rogue Treasure Slot is a high-volatile offering, meaning you can expect a fair bit of unpredictability. It also has quite a low Return to Player or RTP, set at 95.88%.
You should appreciate the high-quality graphics of this game, while it’s also quite a simple, no-nonsense one to play. Clearly, you’ll need to feel comfortable living with high volatility and relatively low RTP. But, at the same time, this game doesn’t stint on the atmosphere.
Give it a free trial in the first instance, and remember to let us know how you got on.
