Well-established partypoker (formerly expressed PartyPoker) was launched in 2001 by PartyGaming. Until 2006, it was the biggest online card room – and it’s still one of the largest. It’s available in 14 languages and licensed in both Gibraltar and the UK.

Now run by GVC Holdings, the site has a range of offerings with varying prize levels for single and multi-table and Sit & Go tournaments. (The latter run 24 hours a day and include SPINS – three-handed Sit & Go tournaments in which a multiplier between 2 and 240,000 decides the size of the prize pool at random before the first card is dealt.)

Games galore at partypoker

Games include Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Sting and 7 Card Stud plus a FastForward cash game format, which automatically moves you to a new table once your hand is over. Or try your hand at the increasingly popular 36-card Short Deck variation of everyone’s favourite table game.

Cash games, often considered the purest form of poker, have no start or end time here, so you can come and go as you wish, retaining complete control over how long you stay at the tables.
