Description

All Aces Poker from Microgaming is a modified version of Jacks or Better and offers a refreshing change from the norm. As the name suggests, the emphasis here is on the Aces – like other poker variants from this operator, there’s a theme – although the Royal Flush is still the highest-paying hand, followed by a quartet of Aces.

There’s also a relatively high payout if you achieve four of a kind. The game has clear, vivid graphics and you can track all your game statistics easily, meaning All Aces Poker provides a pleasant player experience – and nail-biting volatility to suit the highest roller.

How to play

How to Play All Aces Poker

All Aces features a standard 52-card deck, shuffled following every deal, with no jokers and no Wild cards. And, as you’d expect with poker, you’re playing against the house or the dealer.

The paytable takes up a significant part of the screen, and you can choose the number of coins you bet straight from the table. Decrease or increase coin size from the bottom of the screen.

Bet from between one and five coins, with the coin size ranging from 25p to £5. That means the highest bet on a hand is £25, while the top payout is £20,000.

Hit Deal once you’re satisfied with your wager, to receive five cards. As with all poker games, your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to have the best hand from these cards. Discard and replace cards on one occasion per hand to boost your chances of winning.

Via the game options button, you can change things like pace and sound in the game. (There are four-speed settings.) Meanwhile, Win Summary shows the percentage ratios of winning hands.
Note that Autoplay and Expert modes are not available with All Aces Poker.

Special Features of All Aces Poker

Bonus Games

In keeping with most table games like this, there are no bonus rounds or progressive jackpots in All Aces Poker.

Double your Winnings

You have the chance to win twice as much when, straight after a win, you’re presented with the option to make a double-or-nothing bet. Accept the challenge and you will be given five cards. The first card is dealt facing upwards, while the other four faces downwards. To double your winnings until you reach the casino limit, pick a card that’s higher in value than the card facing up. However, as the name implies, lose and you lose everything.

Return to Player (RTP)

At 99.92%, meaning a house edge of just 0.08%, this RTP is one of the best available from Microgaming.

Verdict

This poker game has plenty to sustain interest while still keeping things nice and simple. So it’s not a hard one to get your head around. And the user-friendly interface and navigation also mean it could be a good choice of first online poker game. You’ll soon be Ace-ing it!

What’s more, you get the great design players have come to expect from Microgaming; equally, the clearly displayed information means you know exactly where you stand in a game at all times.

While many poker purists dislike new variants of the game, All Aces could well be the exception that proves the rule. That high RTP is another huge plus. Try it for yourself and see what you reckon.
