What could be nicer than a good old gossip and natter with your best mates at your favourite cafe? Now Coffee Shop Bingo, available via Heart, allows you to do just that without leaving your home! It’s a 90-ball affair, with a nice community jackpot thrown in to heighten the excitement.
And with a new game kicking off every five minutes, there’s never any hanging around waiting for things to start.
How to play
Ticket prices for Coffee Shop Bingo kick off from 10p and go up to £1. Buying your tickets couldn’t be easier: just hit the relevant button on the game screen and you’ll be shown how many tickets are available for the next session.
Choose how many tickets you want, up to a maximum of 60, before clicking ‘Buy’ to confirm. You then have the chance to buy extra tickets or go directly to the game.
The number of tickets you hold is clearly displayed, as are the numbers that are marked off as they’re called.
As usual, there are prizes for completing a single or two horizontal lines before any of your competitors. However, you can also choose to have the website keep track of your tickets and award any prizes while you get on with something else.
With the jackpot the main interest here, in common with many online bingo games, Coffee Shop Bingo doesn’t feature any particular bonus rounds.
Some Coffee Shop games feature a progressive jackpot, which you win by completing a Full House within 38 calls. It doesn’t happen that often, though, so the jackpot can increase in size so that it becomes pretty sizable. Its ‘seed’ amount is a tidy grand.
After the jackpot is won, it resets to the seed value, with a percentage of every bet adding to its size. Since it’s a community jackpot, half goes to the winner and half to the other players in the room.
One thing Heart is very good at is displaying the latest jackpot amount, although there may be some slight delays in doing this.
Return to Player (RTP)
RTP, or Return to Player, describes how much the operator pays out to participants in a game, relative to all wagering. In all Heart games, this fluctuates between 80.99% and 85.45%, which is fairly standard for online bingo.
Of course, this is all part of the fun of playing online bingo. Have a natter with your fellow players, discuss the game or anything else that takes your fancy and generally have a laugh! Moderators are always around to answer any questions and to keep things light and fun.
There’s a cosy, sociable feel to Coffee Shop Bingo which should appeal, and plenty of housey housey fun to be had, even if there’s nothing radically different about this game.
What’s more, you’ll have the reassurance of knowing you’re playing with an established, trusted and large UK operator that knows what it’s doing. It doesn’t stint on its bonuses and promos either, with new players, for example, getting £50 worth of free bingo after depositing a tenner.
So stick the kettle on, grab a brew and then head to the virtual coffee shop and see how you get on!
