Description
Yggdrasil Gaming’s video slot Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine features five reels across three rows with 25 Paylines. As the name suggests, its inspiration is the well-known inventor of modern electricity, and the action takes place in his lab.
If you like your games somewhat sinister and dark, this one has the ideal vibe for you!
How to play
In Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine, you set your bets in the usual way. The regular Spin, Max Bet and Autoplay functions are all here. Play from 25p to up to £75 a pop on any device you like.
Among the symbol set, you’ll see the typically lower-value A, K, Q and J card values, alongside a collection of devices Tesla uses, from goggles and stopwatches to capacitors and safety goggles. Of these, the stopwatch is the most rewarding, at up to 40x stake for five in a row.
Form winning combinations from left to right, kicking off from the Reel 1, i.e. the one furthest left.
Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine special features
Special symbols
Tesla himself serves as the Wild here, as ever replacing any of the game’s standard icons bar the free spins and Level Up Scatters (see below).
Bonus features
Free spins
This nice little earner launches once you have at least three of the relevant Scatters anywhere on the reels. You’ll be in line for between eight and 12 no-charge whirls, according to how many symbols triggered the round.
The good news is that you can create wins in both directions during this round – i.e. from left to right as well as vice versa.
Before the first spin, a fixed Wild on the middle position on Reel 3 starts you off on Level 1. Should a Level Up Scatter display on Reels 1 or 5, you move up one level. The highest is at Level 5. For every new level you attain, a further Wild goes on to the reels.
Energy Burst feature
Be ready to play this once three of the same symbols show up on Reel 3. (But not the Wild or Scatters.) This feature then kicks in. Your less lucrative icons, i.e. the playing cards, will award you a hat-trick of bonus spins, the more rewarding symbols five.
You then get to enjoy one of a trio of extras:
- Wild Substitution: An icon, selected randomly, becomes Wild when it displays in a bonus go
- Reel Clone: Three reels picked at random are connected so that they show the same symbol display, and the linked reels stay as they throughout the extra whirls
- Exploding Wild: Fixed Wilds replace two or three icons chosen at random and which remain fixed for the rest of the bonus spins
Jackpot
There’s no progressive jackpot here, but a maximum win of 4,100x stake.
Return to Player (RTP)
RTP or Return to Player in Incredible Machine is an eminently acceptable 96.2%, while you’ll find this is a mid- variance game, offering a nice balance between size and frequency of wins.
Verdict
Nikola Tesla’s Incredible Machine has all the stunning artwork, design and animation that seem to come as standard with any Yggdrasil Gaming offering. It’s not too complicated to play, plus you should find the various bonus features electrifying!
