Description
Well-established novelty poker variant Let it Ride Poker, which you can play at 888 casinos, has a loose connection with Hold’em and Five-Card Stud versions, although you’ll be aiming to beat the dealer rather than other players. It was first a staple of land-based casinos in the 1990s, before becoming a popular online choice.
You stay in control, choosing and sticking to your own stakes and betting patterns. Win by forming a pair of tens or better using your five cards, and place a side bet to enjoy a piece of the pie from the progressive jackpot.
How to play
Play at a range of stakes, for however much (or little) money you’re willing and able to spend.
You’ll receive three cards, with two dealt facing downwards which you share with the dealer. Your goal, as ever with poker, is to have the best hand with the cards you have. And, of course, to beat the dealer with a pair of tens or better.
Let it Ride Poker
Once you’ve made your initial Ante bet, you get your three cards and can raise beyond them (i.e. increase the size of an existing bet in the same betting round) Just drag your chip to the area marked ‘Raise’ to do this.
Then, once another of the cards facing downwards is turned over, you can bet again, before the final card like that is flipped for the final betting round.
At that stage, your five-card hand is compared with the dealer’s – if you win you’ll be paid at evens.
In terms of strategy, it’s always worth studying the three community cards carefully, and pulling back if you reckon a payout may be less likely.
If you have three of a kind, a high pair or better, do what the title says and ‘let it ride’ right through until the end. Be guided by the cards themselves.

Special features

Verdict
You should really enjoy Let it Ride Poker if you’re a poker fan, and fancy trying a different version of everyone’s favourite table card game.
What’s more, you’ll enjoy the thrills of stud versions, or Texas Hold’em, but without having to take on other players, while equally, the rules are pretty easy to pick up quickly, although the game is not without its strategic considerations. It also sets a pretty brisk pace, so be prepared for that.
