Description
The Chase Bingo, an award-winning TV quiz show, has been a hit with viewers and critics since its launch in June 2009. Host Bradley Walsh, the programme’s format, its humour and the professional quizzers or ‘chasers’ have all helped its huge success.
Now you can enjoy more of the fun thanks to Gala Bingo’s exclusive The Chase Bingo room based on the show. But you’ll need to have what it takes to beat the chaser! Favourites including The Vixen, The Governess, The Beast and The Dark Destroyer are all here. (The Governess even does the bingo calls in her familiar tones!)
The Chase Bingo offer is a 90-ball room, available 24/7. And it’s packed with extra features guaranteed to keep you playing.
What’s more, it’s from one of Britain’s most popular online gaming sites, Gala Bingo. (It’s also one of the industry’s oldest, most trusted brands.)
How to play
The Chase Bingo tickets start from 5p. Fans will enjoy the background artwork and photography from the show. (Bradley himself, unfortunately, is missing, but then you can’t have everything.) You’ll find yourself in a red room with The Chase in its familiar font behind where the balls are drawn.
The game follows the pattern of most 90-ball affairs. The ticket lay-out is in a standard format. Having two columns of six in each means you can see 12 tickets at a time. Choose how many you want to buy, and then keep an eye out for the balls to tumble into a winning formation.
The Chase Bingo kicks off by aiming to complete a single line. When someone in the game has done that, you all move on to trying to get two lines.
Once again, the balls are drawn until someone has chalked off a couple of lines. After that the next stage is to get to Full House.
The Chase Bingo: Play the End Game for a Bingo Bonus
This replicates the show’s Final Chase game and you be taking your chances against the Vixen, Dark Destroyer, the Governess or the Beast.
The Full House winner can choose whether to step nearer to the Chaser, or the prize, or stay where they are. Player and Chaser are then randomly scored to calculate the number of steps forward . Should the player arrive at the prize ahead of the Chaser, the prize pot is theirs. Even if the player is ‘caught’ by the Chaser, they still keep a small bonus prize, plus their Full House winnings. This consolation prize is worth half of the smallest amount offered before the chase kicked off.
Progressive jackpot
The Chase bingo room offers a progressive Final Chase jackpot. You win it by getting House within a particular number of calls. So if, for instance, that number is 31 and you get House within 27 balls, the jackpot is yours, plus the chance to play for the bonus.
The verdict — The Chase Bingo
For those who love the thrill of The Chase, this game is a no-brainer, from a trustworthy brand with a decent reputation. But if you’ve not seen the quiz show, and are not an aficionado, its appeal could seem more limited.
Equally, purists may not like the fact that while the TV version is based on skill, here the bonus game is a randomised one of chance. Players don’t answer any questions. But why not try The Chase for yourself and see what you think?
